Six benches, one method

What you can book

Each bench below is a separate session with its own duration and fee. They share the same sequence: measure the player, read the ground contact, fix the geometry, then let the components compete on a level field.

Longer sessions and bench work

Not part of the six-bench menu

Full bag assessment — 4 hours, $425

Every club in the bag measured, taped and read, from driver through putter. Gapping is worked out from carry rather than loft, and the resulting build sheet covers the whole set including which clubs should be removed. Booked as a single block, usually a Saturday morning.

This is the only session where we ask you to allow a break. Four hours of ball striking with measurement between every club is more tiring than it sounds.

Geometry check — 45 minutes, $70

Loft, lie and length verified across an existing set with no component trials. Recommended once a season for anyone playing firm Utah turf, and the usual first visit for players who suspect their clubs have drifted but do not want to buy anything.

Bending is charged separately at $6 per head. Most sets that need work need it on three or four clubs, not the whole set.

Junior and family sessions — 90 minutes, $95

Length, lie and grip sizing for a growing player, plus a written plan for when to revisit. Priced for the reality that a junior may need three revisits in two years. Second family member measured in the same visit for $40.

We do not sell junior sets. We size what you have, extend what can be extended, and tell you plainly when a club has run out of adjustment.

Repair and build bench

Regripping, reshafting, extensions, ferrule work, loft and lie bending, and swingweight correction. Drop-offs accepted Monday, when the fitting bays are closed and the grinding room is running. Most work is finished within two business days.

Rates for individual repairs are listed on the rates page.

Choosing a bench

If you are not sure, book the iron bench and start there.

Irons make up more than half the bag and they are the clubs where geometry errors cost the most strokes. They are also the best diagnostic: the pattern that shows up across a set of eight clubs tells us more about your delivery than any single driver session can.

From there the rest of the bag usually resolves quickly, because the length and lie relationship we establish for your irons carries over to hybrids and wedges with only small corrections.

If cost is the constraint, the geometry check is the honest entry point. It is forty-five minutes and it will tell you whether your current clubs are working against you. A fair number of players book it, learn their set is fine, and go spend the money on lessons instead. We would rather that than sell a session that changes nothing.

Next step

Bring the clubs you already own. We start there.

Nothing gets ordered until the sole tape, the lie board and your own eyes agree. Bench time runs Tuesday through Saturday at the West Temple shop, and every session ends with a printed build sheet you keep whether or not you buy a single component from us.
