Bench and repair labour
How the money works
Labour and components are billed separately and always have been. That is deliberate. When a shop wraps both into one number, the incentive is to steer you toward whichever component carries the better margin, and neither you nor the fitter can see it happening.
Here, the labour rate is the same whether you buy a $19 grip or a $400 shaft, and the markup applied across the component shelf is flat. If a $90 shaft outperforms a $350 one on your sheet, we earn the same either way and can tell you so.

If a finished club measures outside the tolerance on your sheet, we rebuild it. That has happened four times since the shop opened and it was our cost each time.
